Data surrounds us, yet we don’t often talk about what is gathered (or generated), how, or why. In “What Is Data?” - one of our foundational human-machine interaction trainings - students will explore the concept of data and ask fundamental questions like What counts as data? How is data management linked to cybersafety and privacy concerns? And how is data converted into profit or other assets?
